Labor Day at the Lake
Labor Day weekend always feels a little bittersweet at Tahoe Beach Club. Summer isn’t exactly over, yes…the lake is still sparkling, the days are still warm, and there’s plenty of time left to linger on the beach, but after a spectacular Summer 2026, the long weekend gives us a pretty good excuse to celebrate everything that made the season one to remember.
We’re kicking things off Friday evening where many of the best Tahoe Beach Club nights begin: gathered around the fire pit with a cocktail in hand. This time, there’s a nautical twist. Members can lean into the theme with a little yacht club style, flip through photos from the summer, add a favorite memory of their own and raise a glass to the moments that somehow made 2026 fly by far too quickly.
And because no gathering around a fire is complete without s’mores, we’re giving the Tahoe classic a decidedly grown-up upgrade. Think less marshmallow and chocolate, more artisan cheese, cured meats, fresh fruit and all the gourmet accompaniments needed to build a savory s’more worthy of cocktail hour. It’s the same campfire spirit; much better paired with a drink.
Saturday brings another reason to linger over the weekend, with special guest Chef Mark Estee joining us for a pop-up brunch. A thoughtfully crafted menu sets the stage for a leisurely morning, while a build-your-own mimosa bar lets everyone decide exactly what the perfect Saturday pour looks like. Consider it our official toast to a summer very well spent.
Later, the celebration heads out onto the lake. Clearly Tahoe will lead members into golden hour on a Sunset Glow Tour, launching from the Keys Marina and paddling across the water as daylight begins to fade. Illuminated kayaks take over as dusk settles in, offering one more reminder that some of Tahoe’s best moments happen after everyone else has headed home.
Of course, the kids get their own version of the weekend, too. Saturday and Sunday bring Kids’ Zone s’mores, because while the adults may appreciate the savory variety, there are some Labor Day traditions that should remain wonderfully sticky, chocolatey and exactly as they’ve always been.
Maybe that’s the best way to celebrate Summer 2026: not with one big goodbye, but with one more long weekend filled with the things we love about being here. Besides, at Tahoe Beach Club, summer doesn’t really end on Labor Day. We just get a little better at soaking up every last bit of it.
