All In for Alpenglow

There are certain Tahoe Beach Club nights that seem to take on a life of their own, and this year’s Alpenglow Casino Night, supporting Clean Up the Lake, was definitely one of them.

Around 100 members gathered for an evening that transformed the Starboard Bar and Grille into our own version of alpenglow, with warm colors throughout the space and incredible floral arrangements setting the scene. Add live music from Kallective, and the night had just the right mix of laid-back Tahoe and big time casino-night energy.

Of course, it didn’t take long for the tables to become the center of attention. With dealers and gaming tables from 21 Fun Casino, members settled in quickly, and apparently had no intention of leaving. In fact, we practically had to pull everyone away at 9:30 so we could move on to the live auction. We’ll take that as a sign of a good night!

Away from the tables, artist Taylor Mickiewicz spent the evening live painting the meadow view looking toward Castlerock, giving everyone the chance to watch the piece come to life throughout the event. By the end of the night, it had found a familiar home: Kevin purchased the live painting for the third year in a row, officially making it one of our favorite Alpenglow traditions. Way to go Kevin!

The live auction brought plenty of excitement of its own, thanks to an incredible collection of donated experiences and items. A charter aboard the 57-foot Sailboat Ava, private wakesurf lessons, a private chef experience with Mark Estee, a Homewood backcountry adventure and a custom piece from Double Diamond were just a few of the auction items that had members eagerly throwing their names into the mix.

Between the music, the friendly competition, the live art, and a room full of members having a genuinely great time together, Alpenglow Casino Night once again delivered exactly what makes these evenings so special.

And the best part? All that fun came with a purpose. The evening raised funds for ongoing work to protect the lake that brings us all together in the first place.
Yep, it was a great night, an even better cause, and another Alpenglow Casino Night for the books.
