Joanna Drakos, a native of Athens, Greece and has called Nevada home since 2003. Joanna is a two-time Nevada Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts grant recipient; having been awarded project grants in 2022 and 2023. She is the founder of Downtown Modernists, a private Northern Nevada artist group, hosting salons and organizing group shows for members working in abstract, non-representational styles. Joanna exhibits widely in the Northern Nevada region and has participated in the annual Reno Tahoe International Art Show since its inception in 2022.
