David Ward is an artist and sculptor living in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Inspired by Noguchi, Arnoldi and others, he began his own studio practice and made his way in the design world. David shows his commitment to a more sustainable world through his art, which involves harvesting invasive species in California and transforming them into something beautiful. The plants, such as Scotch Broom, Willow and California Chestnut are shaped into elaborate and compelling designs. Each of David’s pieces are unique and are often combined with functional elements to create light fixtures or chandeliers. His art is on display in San Francisco, New York, Chicago and in many high end residences and hospitality projects around the country.
