David Ward is an artist and sculptor based in the Sierra Nevada Foothills whose work reflects a deep commitment to sustainability. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Isamu Noguchi and Charles Arnoldi, he developed his own studio practice and established a presence in the design world. Ward’s process involves harvesting invasive plant species, including Scotch broom, willow, and California chestnut, and transforming them into intricate, sculptural forms. Many of his one-of-a-kind works integrate functional elements, becoming striking light fixtures and chandeliers.
