David Ward is an artist and sculptor based in the Sierra Nevada Foothills whose work reflects a deep commitment to sustainability. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Isamu Noguchi and Charles Arnoldi, he developed his own studio practice and established a presence in the design world. Ward’s process involves harvesting invasive plant species, including Scotch broom, willow, and California chestnut, and transforming them into intricate, sculptural forms. Many of his one-of-a-kind works integrate functional elements, becoming striking light fixtures and chandeliers. His pieces can be found in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago, as well as in distinguished private residences and hospitality spaces across the country.
